Our classic Chatfield cane design has been reborn. This new and improved version is more durable and now features a lightweight, carbon-fiber body.

The iconic and award-winning form of the Chatfield handle endures. The soft silicone grip has a distinct upturned nose which is comfortable to hold and intuitively positions the hand directly over the shaft. This unique detail also allows the cane to rest against a wall effortlessly for quick access; it can be propped up on its nose or side, without the cane slipping or falling over as easily as generic canes often do.

We've merged traditional craft and modern composite technology with this updated hybrid version of our classic walking stick. A thin layer of premium walnut wood veneer is laminated to the surface of the carbon-fiber tubular shaft and then finished with a resilient clear matte coating.

Some people call it a tip but we call it a shoe. The unique tread pattern design is inspired by sneaker soles, and is compression-molded in a durable, slip-resistant rubber material. Our cane tips are replaceable, sleek and work great in a range of different conditions.

The perfect modern cane.

Just what I have been searching for. The modern style, quality craftsmanship, premium materials, solid feel. I have purchased the metal one and the walnut. Very impressed

No other walking stick for me!

Someone who admired it (I assume) took my original Chatfield Walking Stick from my Costco shopping cart. To say I was upset and bereft is an understatement. I had to use one of “those other” canes for the time it took to get another Chatfield. The new CWS is not as worn in as the original but it does have the same blue handle and there is no doubt that it is ergonomically far superior to the typical stick. The other cane offset the weight exerted on it through the curve of the stem. For me, this caused the exacerbation of my arm and shoulder pain. The CWS becomes an extension of one’s arm and is comfortable to hold as well. The wide, flat handles on “those canes” bends the wrist at an uncomfortable angle. Though they are advertised as ultra comfortable, it was not. I may not be making myself clear; I’m not an engineer. But I recommend this cane to everyone who needs one.

Somewhat disappointed

I lost my cane and ordered a replacement. It had two features missing that I really liked that were on the old one. One was the laser engraving of the company name on the on the cane, and the other was a different style of foot. Not dealbreakers but I like the old one better. Just saying.
